Spend two lovely days designing and making your own completely unique hand woven scarf.
Working on a Rigid Heddle loom you will choose your yarns from the beautiful natural colours and hand dyed yarns from the Burnt Fen herd.

Keep it classic and weave a beautifully soft pure alpaca scarf in natural or hand dyed alpaca.

Or explore my stash of sari silks, art yarns and ribbons to add into your weaving.

WARP

The warp is the vertical threads that form the skeleton backbone for your weaving and are integral to the design and finish of your scarf.

You will choose your own warp threads and learn how to "dress the loom" - attatch the warp threads to the loom ready for weaving.

WEFT

The weft are the horozontal threads woven through the vertical warp and give lots of opportunity for creative expression - the options are endless!

We work in the relaxed atmosphere of my fondly named 'Kurt the Yurt', a traditional Mongolian yurt situated next to our alpaca fields.

The workshop allows plenty of time for choice and to really relax and enjoy the process.
