Natural Dye Course
Explore the colours hidden in our gardens and hedgerows !
This is a one day course designed to give you a hands on introduction into the amazing world of colour that natural dyes can offer.
Working with a combination of foraged seasonal plants and dried dye material, you will prepare and mordant your yarn and make 3 different dye baths.
You will also have the opportunity to over dye your skeins using my Indigo vat to create even more colours.
All materials and equipment are provided and I will give handouts of the recipes you have used during the day.
A delicious homemade seasonal soup is included in your day and tea and coffee are available all day in my studio, 'Kurt the Yurt'.
We will be working outside next to the alpaca fields and the alpacas will no doubt mosey over to say hello on the hunt for carrots!
