HUSBANDRY COURSE
An introduction to keeping alpacas
We have been breeding Alpacas for over 20 years and have a wealth of experience to share. Join us in the friendly and informal setting of Burnt Fen surrounded by our extended family of alpacas. Our workshop is designed to introduce you to general alpaca husbandry and give you the insight and confidence to start your own alpaca adventure.
The course will cover day to day care, paddock layout, shelters, fencing, routine healthcare and handling.
This is hands on course and you will be getting up close and personal with the alpacas, so please dress accordingly and don't wear your best jeans or shoes!
We like to end the session by taking some of the boys (alpacas) for a short walk so you can get a good feel of how to handle them and see how they interact with each other.
We want you to feel confident that you know how to keep your alpacas happy and healthy.
The course runs from 9.30am - 1pm.
